P O I N C I A N A

Poinciana is a rural, 47,000 acre, sprawling, master planned, community near Kissimmee, with a population of 16,000. Listed in the top 10, in the USA, for new home sales, new residents are discovering affordable housing, situated among acres of natural beauty, featuring big lake fishing and boating, golfing, horseback riding, great community schools, a new library and community shopping. It is impressive that about 40 percent of its 47,000 acres are set aside for open areas and green space; including wilderness, lakes, and lush greenery -- protecting nature at it's unspoiled best.

Golf is played on a par 72 Devlin-Von Hagge designed championship course. The clubhouse includes a restaurant open to the public. Tennis is smashing, on four Har-Tru courts that are lighted for day or night enjoyment. Also, there is an Olympic-size heated swimming pool, a shuffleboard court, a playground, and a jogging path. There are lakes for fishing and boating, parks and picnic areas, stables for horseback riding, and a 3/4 mile fitness trail with 20 exercise stations. There are all kinds of community sports, activities and events for meeting neighbours and establishing lifelong friendships.

A community with a country atmosphere and city amenities, Poinciana is perfectly positioned to meet the dramatic growth predicted for the Osceola County/Kissimmee area over the next 20 to 25 years. According to a Florida Department of Commerce study, Osceola County's 1994 population of 131,000 will increase more than 21 percent by 2000. The University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research predicts that Osceola County will be Florida's fourth largest in percentage of population growth by the year 2010. This expansion will lead Central Florida in job growth, producing 36,000 new jobs.

Whether you're a fisherman, bird watcher or sun worshiper, Lake Toho has everything you'll need. Just a few minutes from the shoreline, you'll know what those first visitors to Florida must have seen. The birds and wild life will intrigue the most experienced traveller and the fishing is great.

Rodeo has been a part of Kissimmee history since "cow hunters" were made famous by Frederick Remington. The Silver Spurs Rodeo comes to town twice a year, in October and February, bringing national rodeo stars to Kissimmee-St. Cloud.

Poinciana is a quiet residential community consisting mainly of detached single family homes.

We are situated in a conservation area with a natural forest background.

Kissimmee has several miles of restaurants, shopping malls, shows, bars Etc.
